Welcome message!

I am coming with peace:) Last semester I had a presentation about computer games, since that time many things had changed... New video games are so pure and weak, that I almost stopped playing, almost because I've some older games:) However, time witch I spent on games have not changed at all:) I have just switch to my new hobby, boardgames!
I fall in love with this games:)
Every thing begins few weeks ago, during meeting with my board game geek friend... I will talk about it later during this week.
I am going to show you, why I thing it's not only child's play and why boardgames are fantastic way to spent free time. I would tell you how to begin playing and witch games are best for beginners.
Obviously, I will present my beginners collection...
I hope you will enjoy this topic and maybe some of you will try this entertainment.

Maybe some of you, are boardgames geeks? What is your favourite board game (without doubts, you have played some games in your childehood)?

    When it comes to board games then I haven't played a lot in my life. There where some games like "Chińczyk", "Monopoly", chess and other simple not board ones like "yahtzee", "jenga", "who want's to be a millionaire?", but I always wanted to try something more complicated, like Warhammer only to see if it's good. Maybe I'll have that opportunity in the future with my kids (when I'll have them :-) )

    Hmm, I remember that long time ago my friend encouraged me to play some AD&D game like Warhammer, and at first it was even interesting, but after few 'sessions' I realize that this is useless waste of time... and I start programming :D

    I have never played "Chinczyk" :D Seriously:) Hmmm Monopoly is really simple mechanic game.. almost purely random... I always loose this game:D :) Maybe we could play some games on PJ? What do you think about it? 5-6 players it could be funny:)

    I have played this kind of games only few times in my life. I was very young so I even didnt know the rules :) Titles which i remember are "monopol" and "magia i miecz".

    I've played in monopol 5 month's ago :D In my childhood i played "chińczyk", "Grzybobranie", etc.. Now i'm dont interestic in that kind of games.

    Good old times :)
    I used to play many board games when I was young.
    I remember "Scrabble", "Mensch ärgere dich nicht(Chińczyk)", Monopoly,"Draughts" or "Checkers" - warcaby and many more...

    It was really the only way(apart from playing with toys) to have fun playing inside(I prefered going out... sitting at home wasn't that entertaining).

    I also remember that there was an episode in my life during which I was collecting cards such as Magic The Gathering or Doom Trooper. I was also collecting figures such as Warhammer or Warhammer 40k... painting them and later on playing with them was very interesting but it wasn't really something for me.

    I remember also that in primary school I used to play some RPG games with my friends but it all ended in high school.

    I think that I tried so many things just to find out that my real hobby are computer games. I thought that my collection of computer games is rather big but this collection of board games on the second video is really great :)

    I remember that when I was a kid, my siblings used to buy and bring home a lot of such board games. We played those games till late at night. After midnight my parents used to come to our room and ask us to immediately stop playing and go to sleep. We always promised to do so, but when the parents left the room we stayed awake and played silently till down. This is one on my best childhood memories.

    I haven't play a lot in board games, but I love Monopoly - we have always played with my father, sister and brother - we could sit and play all night and we were angry when we lost... it was big fun :) I remember when we had a marathon during holidays - we have played 3 days and sleep only 6 hours :) it was really big fun :)

    I had the same situation like s3680 but I played much longer in “role play game” (RPG) with my friends. I don’t agree that this is a waste of time – I think that this is a kind of spending time. When I started playing I was 16 years old and everyone plays some games at this age. This kind of game developed my imagination, and I had a lot of fun with my friends ;)
