BODIES-humanity or not?

Bodies the exibition, as organisators says, showcases meticulously dissected real human body specimens that are preserved through an innovative process and respectfully presented, giving visitors the opportunity to view the beauty and complexity of their own organs and systems.

It is true? Some says that bodies are from China where human rights are broken. It comes from public execution and dead convicted. Legend or not, i think that this kind of exibition is't ethical. It's some kind of violation. Humiliation of human bodies. Like exibition from concentration camp.

I don't have nothing against teaching from human bodies by students of anatomy. But looking for it only for fun? Disgusting!

And what is your opinion about this exhibition? Are you going to visit it? Or maybe you just visit?

    Disgusting. Good point.
For second it can look like a good entertainment but after few minutes you can be sure that it's exceeding the good taste and violates basic rules of humanity.

  3. When I was in Vienna I almost went to this exhibition. I wasn’t sure that I wanted to see this and when I was waiting in queue for the ticket I resigned… Why? I don’t know. I decided that I didn’t want to see this.

But I really think that this exhibition is very good for everyone who wants to learn about human bodies.

  5. In my opinion it is quite interesting exhibition because even high quality photos are not able to make such big impression like this exhibition. Of course not for all kind of people but especially for those who want to study a medicine it could be a good introduction.
I'm interesting in legends about these bodies source. I have to say that I've never heard about that they could come from China.

  6. For such kind of performances always turns up a question "is this ethical?" and anybody who wants to see this, must answer this question.

But for the other hand, it can be quite interesting, we only know our body from biology books so maybe it's a good opportunity to see real examples ;)

  7. I don't know where are the "materials" from.
If someone agreed to that so there is nothing wrong... if someones rights are violated then it's not ok.

Let's say that everything is legal. Now the main question is: is there anyone who wants to see this?...
For me it sounds interesting. I like all medical things but I'm IT student so maybe I will visit that kind of exhibition one day... watching "ER" or "House" is just not enough :)

  9. We've seen it all and there's a need for something shocking so we can again discuss about something. :)

Is it some kind of a fear that keeps us away from skeletons and entrails?

  10. Maybe it's the new idea of teaching people who normally won't be interested in human muscles, bones or something like these. Maybe it has to shocking to learn us something new and make that we'll take a look at our organism.

  11. I don't think so it is a good idea for exhibition. First of all it really strange to watching corpses behind glass. Secondly i think it is no ethical at all because treating human corpses in that way is a example of lack of respect for the dead. It is sick idea of suck mind.

  12. I'm really looking forward to this exhibition, I think I'll give it a try this weekend
if it's no ethical or it's strange/wrong to watch corpses then just don't do it! but don't take away my opportunity
at medical studies is an ok, but when somebody offers you an exhibition it's wrong?

  13. I see nothing wrong in this exhibition. After all we all have a body and more we know about it better for us. It would be a serious scandal if those bodies were not "legal", I mean came from not legal source.

  14. The whole idea seems interesting to me. But of course there is always that ethical problem. From what source are these bodies.. I wouldnt like that my body was taken after my death and put in some exhibition.
